A Femme-Centric Queer-Tastic Party!
PART 4
AN INDEPENDENT VENUE WEEK 2027 SPECIAL
SUNDAY 31ST JANUARY 2027
➳ 3PM START // 14+
Twisted Nipple returns to Polar Bear for the fourth instalment of A Femme-Centric Queer-Tastic Party, bringing seven acts together for a full day of punk, queer electro, riot grrrl, grunge and DIY noise as part of Independent Venue Week 2027.
JEANIE AND THE WHITE BOYS mix raw punk energy with glam cabaret, blues and satire. Wild, theatrical and feral, they've been described as sounding like Debbie Harry fronting a no-wave circus.
THE EMPTY PAGE deliver raucous, emotionally raw, feminist-fuelled punk, with influences and comparisons spanning Bikini Kill, Veruca Salt and Fugazi.
ARCH FEMMESIS are a genre-defying queer electro-punk duo from Nottingham's underground scene, combining dark, brooding electronics with hypnotic, danceable rhythms.
GAYDAR are a Newcastle queer dirt-punk trio bringing together grunge riffs, danceable beats, queer rage and sharp satirical humour, drawing inspiration from IDLES, Soft Play and Amyl and the Sniffers.
HITLIST are Leeds-based, riot grrrl, chaos-wielding punks bringing their own raw, uncompromising energy to the line-up.
SLAP RASH combine machine-like drum blasts, roaring basslines and shifting tempos, balancing aggressive noise with carefully measured restraint to create a visceral wall of sound.
BATHING SUITS complete the seven-act bill.
Independent Venue Week is a celebration of the grassroots spaces that give emerging artists, independent promoters and local music communities somewhere to come together. We're marking it with an afternoon and evening dedicated to loud, independent music and unapologetic queer expression.
