‘Non-Midwest Midwest Emo Band’ formed in Leeds

Since forming in the spooky month of October 2022, Student Slasher Film have quickly carved out a niche of energetic, melodic emo that doesn’t shy away from getting dark and gritty. With lyricism inspired by the likes of Braid, Emperor X and The Mountain Goats, Guitar riffs showing influence from Algernon Cadwaller and Tiny Moving Parts, the group have begun playing live shows around the north of England, with their first EVER show selling just shy of capacity. With plans to release their first EP in the near future, the band are constantly looking and moving forward, onto greater and greater things.
